Happy Valentine’s Day! Did everyone remember those new Corvette parts .. er, I mean … flowers and chocolates?
Brrrrr! Was January cold or what? Maybe February will be kind to us. Lots of activities to keep everyone busy. Our Super Bowl Party will be on the 7th, come on out and join us. Please RSVP to Jim and Judy Nickelson. We have our big road trip to Big Bend and the Davis Mountains planned for the 18 – 23. If you are planning to go be sure and get your room reserved. Check with Lynn DiGiovanni for final details. February 27th is our Texas Steakout Road Trip, come join in for some driving fun and good food.
For those of you that missed out, we had some fun at the Mod day in January. Lou Ann and Allen Nichols garage was full and buzzing with projects. We worked on Ipod connections, weatherstrip replacements, bling, squeaks, exhaust pipes, and a few other projects. We proved we can break anything!

I wanted to acknowledge our volunteers who stepped up and took over new Committee positions in the club. Thanks go out to Houston Garner – Apparel, John Lamb – Membership, and Sandra and George Love – Socials.
We have several new members and guest. Thanks for joining us and please jump in and attend the upcoming events. I will do my best to welcome each of you on any trips/ events. I’m always available to answer any questions you might have.
We are now in full swing for planning our March 28th SHCC Spring Car Show in the Woodlands. We need help asking for donations for our raffles and door prizes, as well as local support for the T-shirts and Trophies. If you can help or know some Woodlands shops or restaurants that can help please jump in to make this new location a big success.
Remember these upcoming events and get your rooms booked now. The Wildflower Run is March 19 – 21. reservations at Inn of the Hills, Kerrville. The SHCC club vacation to Cabo San Lucas, April 18 - 25. The big Lone Star Corvette Club Classic at Texas Motor Speedway is May 14-16. Various hotels in the area.
