Let me first say Happy New Year to you all! I would like to thank all the members for their encouragement and support to be the club President this year. We have an exciting year planned with some awesome events and social gatherings so be prepared to have fun. Since we have a lot of new members the past few years I'll give you a little bio of Kassy and myself. We are both from Ohio and both our parents live in the same hometown and we moved to Houston in 2000 to start my own marketing company. Having no family here and having a corvette we joined the club in Feb 2002 at the Corvette/Chevy Expo and jumped right in and I think we didn't miss a meeting or event for about 4 years. I was club Governor for a couple years and then President in 2006 and Kassy was the Social Committee Chair for 4 years. We both feel very grateful to have so many friends we have met through the club.
Okay, back to what to look forward to this coming year. Between lunch runs to some really cool places throughout the year February 18th we have a bowling match set up against Space City Corvette Club. This is for everyone..not just ringers. Prizes and bragging rights will be awarded so don't miss it. A Paintball fun day is being planned and a visit to the Bush Library, Houston Zoo, George Ranch Historical Park, Port Authority Boat Tour, Winery and Brewery, Horse Races, weird museums, indoor Kart racing and Drive Inn Movies to name a few. Besides all that we will still have Mod Days, car shows and some drag racing scheduled. So get ready for a fun filled year!
