Shiner Bock Beer Run

When: Saturday, August 21, 2010

Meet At: Flying J Truck Stop, Brookshire, TX
              I-10 and Hwy. 359, Exit 732

Time: 7:00 AM, Wheels Turning at 7:30 AM

Destination:

That is not a misprint.  Yes, we are starting at 7:00 AM from Brookshire.  Get up early and come on one great little run.  We are heading to Shiner, Texas and the home of Shiner Bock Brewery.  The run is about 100 miles to get there.  Stephanie Bryan, our favorite friendly sales representative from Mundy Chevrolet, has arranged for us to have a special tour at 10:00 AM on Saturday.  The tour is 30 minutes and there are free samples after the tour.  That is why we must get up so early.  Just remember, free beer, Saturday, August 21.  So set the alarm clock.  You cannot miss out on this run.  I cannot put it in simpler terms.  After the tour, we will be meeting the brew master from Shiner Bock.  He will be visiting with everyone and letting us ask all the questions about his job.  My first question is “Does he need a beer tasting assistant?”  We will go to lunch and the brew master, Stephanie’s brother will join us.  Overall, this should make for a really unique trip.  Finally, we will have an organized drive back as a group for those so inclined.  For those who like to explore on their own, Shiner, Texas has several museums, antique shops and other unique stores to visit.  Remember to leave a little room in the trunk and stock up on the local merchandise.  It should be great fun.  This will be an all day affair.  So get up early and join us for the famous Shiner Bock Run.  Please RSVP for this run.

Don't forget your Walkie Talkie. Mark your calendar and get ready to roll!! We hope you will be able to join us for another great run!

This is an Open Event, All Corvettes Welcome!
