Corvettes in San Marcos 2021

Mark & Cheryl Kelly will be hosting the second annual "Corvettes In San Marcos" event August 27-29, 2021. The host hotel will again be the Embassy Suites, 1001E. McCarty Lane, San Marcos, where they offer a FREE happy hour from 5:30-7PM and complimentary made to order breakfast in the morning! There is also ample paved parking in front.

**NOTE: As of 7/18/2021 the Embassy Suites discounted rate has expired and the hotel may be fully booked. Call the hotel for availability and rates, or check out these hotels nearby.

Bring a hand held or mobile radio to communicate with the group as we drive. Several interesting restaurants are on the agenda plus a scenic drive on Saturday.

To view and download the route maps, on the SHCC website select the Documents tab, then the Maps and Directions FOLDER icon, then click on San Marcos Trip 2021.

On Friday August 27, the group will meet at Buc-ee's, 40900 US 290, Waller, TX. at 9AM and wheels rolling at 9:30AM. There will be a rest stop at Buc-ee’s, 1700 Highway 71 E, Bastrop, TX.

Then on to the Gruene River Grill, 1259 Gruene Rd., New Braunfels, TX, for lunch at 12:30PM. After lunch there are numerous unique shops to visit at your leisure right by the restaurant. Embassy Suites is just a short drive away and a good time to gas up for Saturday’s event. Enjoy their free happy hour beginning at 5:30PM.

We will meet for dinner on Friday, at Hays County BBQ, 1612 S Interstate 35, San Marcos at 6:30PM. They have ample paved parking both in front and in the back of the restaurant.

On Saturday, enjoy a great complimentary breakfast at the hotel, and make sure you have plenty of gas.

Wheels rolling from the hotel parking lot at 9:30AM for a scenic drive through the Hill Country with a lunch stop at the Wild Ass Hey Barn, 101 Rowland Lane, Kerrville, TX.

After lunch continue back to the hotel with time to freshen up and enjoy the happy hour!

We will meet for dinner Saturday night, at Ivar’s River Pub, 701 Cheatham Street, San Marcos at 7:00PM.
