ELEVENTH ANNUAL WILDFLOWER CARAVAN!!!

March 28, 29, & 30, 2008
If you like to drive the IIHiII Country" and spend time socializing with your fellow club members, this is the
event you have been waiting for!!!

FRIDAY AGENDA:
Depart
Lunch @ (details to be determined after pre run)
Leave @ (details in next issue)
(Check in at "The Inn of the Hills")
Hospitality Room with pizza, beer, wine provided by the club. (BYOB)

SATURDAY AGENDA:

8:00 AM                First road trip into the Hill Country
12:00 PM              Lunch
2:00 PM                Second road trip. Those club members that have driven in
from Houston on Saturday morning can join this afternoon run. Return to the hotel at approximately 5:00 PM
7:00 PM                Sit down dinner at the hotel that will last till 9:00 PM

SUNDAY AGENDA:
9:00 AM Leave hotel for scenic drive, sight seeing and lunch. Spend as much time as you want, your on your own for the drive back to Houston.

COST:
HOTEL- will be "Inn of the Hills" in Kerrville (830-895-5000). Members will be responsible for their own reservation with the hotel and will have to guarantee each room with a major credit card or an advance de­posit.
Identify yourself as a member of the Sam Houston Corvette Club to get the group rate.

Deadline for Hotel reservation is Feb 28th.
TRIP- cost will be $35.00 per person (not counting your

HOW TO GET SIGNED
UP:
1.        Call hotel and make reservation for Friday and Saturday night.
2.        If you are unable to participate on Friday then just make your reservation for Saturday.
3.        Call Lou Ann to RSVP and send her a check made out to "SHCC" for $35.00 per person for the Saturday night sit down dinner

MEETING PLACE- Friday morning, March 28th: (details in March issue)
1.         Be there to sign-in and pickup your instructions
2.         Wear your SHCC name badge!
3.         Arrive between 8:00 AM and 8:45 AM so we can all be ready to leave by 9:00 AM SHARP!

MEETING PLACE- Saturday Morning, March 29th:
Arrive between 7:30AM and 7:45 AM. a club member will lead those members that need to leave on Saturday. We will be leaving at 8:00 AM SHARP!

CANCELLATIONS-"No"
refunds
_"No" refunds can be made by the club for cancellations after March 14th. Cancellations of room reservations are between the individual club member and the hotel. Normally cancellation of a guaranteed reservation must be received 24 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid a no-show charge.

Have you any ideas for a road trip or restaurant for dinning? We know everyone has been to a place or heard of some place and thought that it would be enjoyable for a group of Corvetters. Well, here;'s how you can put it on paper and get your potential ideas turned into actual events and place on the calendar. Check it out and respond to Walter Lojuk and Dave Blocker, Road Trip Committee.

  1. Stating Place, time and date
  2. Written Itinerary (if applicable) with directions
  3. Maps - road marks and distances
  4. Restaurant name and approximate prices. A menu would be helpful. Talk to someone in charge and confirm that they can accommodate a group of 30+ people.
  5. If an overnighter, hotel accommodations ne3ed to be verified as well as room prices.
  6. Package info will be presented to the Road Trip Committee to maker sure that everything is complete and in order.
  7. Total road trip package will be presented to the Officers at the next board meeting and they will approve or disapprove. Their decision is final.
  8. If approved, the Road Trip Committee will help finalize details and generally oversee management of the road trip
  9. 15 or more care are required to constitute an official club road trip.
